ST. JOHNSBURY, VT (September 18, 2023) \u2013maquininha de halloween (NVRH) invites the public to join a multidisciplinary committee meeting to discuss clinical practices, areas for improvement and any needed changes surrounding breastfeeding initiatives. The meeting, which will take place in NVRH conference room 127, will be held Thursday, Sept. 21 at 2 p.m.<\/p>\n
The NVRH Community Breastfeeding Meeting, which includes hospital administrators, providers, nursing staff, lactation consultants and community members, is a component of the Baby-Friendly Hospital Initiative (BFHI), a program that was launched in 1991 as a public health initiative and administered by the World Health Organization & UNICEF.<\/p>\n
NVRH was the first hospital in Vermont to be designated as Baby-Friend in 1999.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe know that human milk is the best nutrition for infants,\u201d NVRH Lactation Consultant Carol Moore-Whitney said. \u201cWe also know that it is important that every parent feel supported in making an informed decision on how they wish to feed their baby.\u201d<\/p>\n
